MEET THE KING FAMLY

Shekinah is a family-operated Christian Retreat Center. The Kings are fourth-generation farmers in southern Ohio, deeply rooted in faith, family, and service. Robb and Renee were married in December 2002 and have built a life centered on purpose and calling. Robb, a grain farmer, lives by the motto: “Sowing Seeds for God’s Harvest.” Renee is a classical educator who has homeschooled their children and is now writing curriculum for junior high science and Latin, while their two oldest attend university.

Beyond their daily vocations, the Kings are actively involved in their local church and deeply committed to their children’s lives and spiritual growth. Through a series of life-altering experiences, God placed the vision on their hearts to create a sanctuary for those who serve.

In 2022, the King family stepped out in faith to begin Shekinah Retreat Center, officially opening its doors in the summer of 2023.

Their mission is simple but powerful: to provide a place of hope and refuge for those in ministry and the body of Christ. This space allows visitors to encounter the Shekinah glory of God and be renewed with hope.
